Tracey Grey

Schauspielerin, Sprecherin, Sängerin

Born in England in 1971, tracey was already facinated with Theatre and Musicals from the age of 8 years. She new then that she wanted to be a performer. At 21, after 3 years of intensive training, she graduated from the Guildford Conservatorium (GSA) with a diploma in Musical Theater.

In following years she played in Musicals and comedy theatre all over England, among others at the Covent Garden Festival an at the Phoenix Theatre, London. Tracey gathered experience from the dramatic and musical stage as well as film and TV. Later she found a platform for her love of Jazz music in the form of a Big Band where she was front singer.

Now in Frankfurt since 2000 she continues to sing, direct and perform regularly in a diverse range of styles and environments.

All Woman – One-woman Cabaret, Internationales Theater, Frankfurt

Anti…Anti! – played a lead role in this one act play, performing at the Kur Theater, Bad Homburg, and in Antwerp at the Festival of European Anglophonic Theatre Societies (FEATS) and was nominated for Best Actress.

“Travellers” –The Actress in a four-hander Musical for the Covent Garden Festival performed at both the Jermyn Street Theatre and the Tristan Bates Theatre, London.

“Blood Brothers” – Role of Linda at the Phoenix Theatre, London.

“On the Razzle” – played Lisette in the Stoppard comedy at the Southampton Nuffield Theatre.

“Maria Marten” – played the title role in large-scale musical tour for the Baroque Theatre Company. Directed by David Kelsey.

“The Sleeping Beauty” – Ensemble and Principal Understudy in Panto Season for London Productions at the Poole Arts Centre.

“La Parisienne” - a French Style Cabaret. Small Scale Tour for the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, Guildford, directed by Elizabeth Seal.

FILM, DIRECTION AND OTHER CREDITS

Currently	I run a weekend theatre arts school for children, am developing a new theatre cabaret piece “Muttermilch”, and do regular voice-over and dubbing work.
2007/8 2006	Lead a 10-week acting course and directed the participants in a play "Eine einfache Idee" at the Interkulturelle Bühne. Pictures in the gallery Directed the new english drama, Actionable Items, for the Interkulturelle Bühne, Frankfurt.
2004	Played a lead role in a small independent film “the Commando” by Timbuck2 Productions. Shooting took place in the Germany and England.
2002, 2004 2006	Produced and directed benefit performances of the “The Vagina Monologues” for the Vday Worldwide Campaign.
2001 - 2006	Regular performer and production assistant for “The Main Event”, Frankfurt, producing theatrical and murder mystery events.
2001 - 2004	Performed with own cover band, The Tracey Grey Band, sang with the Astor Club Band and also a ten-piece blues/soul band called "Brothers in Groove".
2001	Directed a production of "Jeffrey Bernard is Unwell", for FEST at the Internationales Theater, Frankfurt.
1997 - 1999	Fronted a twelve-piece band in the UK, performing mainly jazz, from Ella to Paddy Austin, the standards of Porter, Gershwin and many others, blues, pop and rock.
